The Hydro Force inflatable paddle board has taken the world by storm, and that’s because Bestway has managed to create a range of SUPs that are not only really good value for money, but they also cater to a wide range of different riders.
I had a chance to look at 5x of their top models, so I decided to write an article where I talk about my experience with them.
In a nutshell:
“Out of the boards that I tested, the best was the Hydro-Force Oceana. It is a beautiful all-around inflatable SUP that is easy to use and converts into a kayak to save your legs when you get tired. The downsides were minor and easily overlooked so I would happily recommend this board to anyone looking to get on the water.”

Let’s go through them and what I thought about each of them.
#1: Hydro Force Oceana (Best All-Around SUP)
Where To Buy: Amazon
Specs & Features:
– Dimensions of 10′ x 33″ x 4.75″
– Weight of 28.77 lbs (13.05kg)
– Weight capacity of 264.5 lbs (130 kg)
– Recommended inflation of 12-15 Psi
– Made of double-layer PVC material and V-drop stitch core.
– Best for beginners that want a solid board that converts into a kayak.
Overall Thoughts:
Overall I really enjoyed this Hydro Force inflatable paddle board. It’s clearly an all-around SUP that let’s you do a bit of everything at a great price. I really like that they included the seat because it gives you options to do things like fishing and overall the SUP was really nice and stable on the water. The downsides are that the paddle was a bit heavy and slippery, and the seat placement is a little awkward because that’s where you stand on the board usually, but these cons can clearly be overlooked and most people will be really happy with this purchase. This is my favorite hydro-force sup.
PROS | CONS |
– I love that it’s a hybrid kayak paddle board because it gives you the choice. If you’re tired you can just sit. – This board is versatile – you can use it for things like paddling, fishing or touring. – Great price compared to other hybrid kayak paddle boards in the market. – The accessories were pretty good overall considering the price. – Lightweight and stable in the water. | – I am not a huge fan of the aluminum paddle because it is heavy and slippery when wet. Consider getting a carbon fiber paddle instead. – The seat gets a little awkward if you’re just paddling because that’s where you stand. Just remove it if you’re only going to paddle. |

#2: Hydro Force Aqua Cruise (Great For Touring)
Where To Buy: Amazon
Specs & Features:
– Dimensions of 10.6′ x 30″ x 4.75″
– Weight of 26.45 lbs (12.00kg)

– Recommended inflation of 12-15 Psi
– Made of double-layer PVC material and V-drop stitch core.
– Best for people that want to paddle for longer periods and explore the landscape
Overall Thoughts:
When it comes to touring boards I am really critical because there are some really good options out there on the market. So where does this rank? I’d say it’s a solid 7.5/10, which is really good considering the price that it comes at. It does exactly what you want it to do, which is give you a nice smooth ride and let you bring your things with so that you can explore. But the downsides are that it’s more suited for flat water and the tracking struggles because of the single fin. Overall this is a good pick if you want a comfy ride in more flat conditions at a great price.
PROS | CONS |
– I like that there is a lot of storage space with the netting in the front and the back so you can add a cooler or some snacks. – Great price for a touring board – Gives you a comfortable and easy ride that let’s you go for hours. – The EVA deck pad is soft and cushy so you can kneel on it and it won’t hurt your knees. | – I would have loved to see them use a tri-fin set up instead of a single fin because it would allow for better tracking. – This board isn’t really suited for the sea, it’s more flat water oriented. |

– Weight capacity of 309 lbs (140 kg)
– Recommended inflation of 12-15 Psi
– Made of double-layer PVC material and V-drop stitch core.
– Best for people that want a lightweight sup that loves rivers and flat water.
Overall Thoughts:
This board is pretty niche. It feels like it’s mainly designed for rivers but it also functions well in flat water. Overall it’s lightweight and has really nice tracking because of the tri-fin set up. This board is also a comfortable ride and the cushy EVA deckpad lets you sit on it without hurting your coccyx. Overall I really enjoyed riding it and it would be a good purchase for anyone that wants to paddle more. The only downside is that if it were me I’d go for a good touring board if I planned to exclusively focus on flat water riding.
PROS | CONS |
– Nice and comfortable ride on flat water and river conditions. – Tri-fin setup gives you great tracking so you can navigate currents (and rapids if you’re brave). – The deckpad is soft and cushy so you can sit on it without hurting yourself. – Lightweight and comes at a great price. | – It’s a bit confused, I’d rather get a touring paddle board if I planned to only use flat water. |

#2: Hydro Force Fastblast (Best For Speed)
Where To Buy: Amazon
Specs & Features:
– Dimensions of 12.6′ x 30″ x 6″
– Weight of 22.05 lbs (10.00 kg)
– Weight capacity of 265 lbs (120 kg)
– Recommended inflation of 12-15 Psi
– Made of double-layer PVC and Tri-Tech material
– Best for intermediate riders that want something fast on the water.
Overall Thoughts:
This Hydro Force inflatable paddle board is a really nice entry-level racing SUP that I really enjoyed using. Not only is it really fast on the water, but it navigates the chop really well. It is lightweight, easy to carry and fun to use. The only downsides to this board is that it’s a bit more wobbly because of the 30′ width, that’s why I would recommend it for more intermediate riders that want some speed on the water (or maybe to dip their toes into racing).
PROS | CONS |
– Great price for a fast paddle board. – Nice acceleration because of the narrow shape. – Navigates choppy water well while still keeping its speed. – Love how wide the deckpad is because it let’s you position your feet nicely. | – This is built for speed, so it’s a bit more wobbly than other hydro force inflatable paddle board options. – I would have liked to see a paddle holder attached so you can do more prone paddling. |

Deciding on the best Hydro Force Inflatable Paddle Board for you hinges on what you’re looking to get out of your paddleboarding experience. Each board caters to different styles and needs, making the selection quite personal (1). Here’s a quick rundown to help you decide:
- Hydro Force Oceana: Crowned as the best all-around SUP, it’s ideal for beginners and those who crave versatility. Its ability to convert into a kayak offers a unique advantage, providing a break for your legs and allowing for activities like fishing. Despite the heavier paddle and potentially awkward seat placement for stand-up paddling, its stability, and all-around performance make it a top recommendation for most users.
- Hydro Force Aqua Cruise: A great option for touring enthusiasts. It shines in flat water conditions, offering a comfortable and extended paddling experience. While it might struggle with tracking due to the single fin setup, its ample storage and comfortable deck pad make it a solid choice for explorers who prioritize comfort and storage on smoother waters.
- Hydro Force Kahawai: Perfect for those who love paddling on rivers and flat water. Its lightweight design and tri-fin setup provide excellent tracking, making it easy to handle in currents. Though it’s a bit specialized, if your adventures are primarily on rivers or you enjoy the flexibility of a board that handles well in both river and flat water conditions, this could be the board for you.
- Hydro Force Fastblast: Designed for speed and suited for more experienced riders. Its narrow shape and lightweight build make it fast on the water but also a bit wobbly, making it better for those who are confident in their balance. If you’re looking to get into racing or simply enjoy the thrill of speed, this board offers great value.
